More About Robin Scarlett, CPT

A California native, a love of mountains and skiing brought Robin Scarlett to Colorado. First, to The University of Colorado in Boulder to study geography, and then to Aspen to teach skiing. Discovering how it supported her skiing and outdoor activities, Robin became interested in Pilates. She received her Pilates certification through The PhysicalMind Institute in 2004. The program, a blend of traditional and contemporary Pilates, emphasized the Pilates fundamentals. After beginning studio teaching in 2006, Robin has taught in several Roaring Fork Valley studios, health clubs, homes, and community recreation centers. She continued her education with courses at The Pilates Center in Boulder, as well as Pilates Aligned in Denver, both studios emphasizing the original work of Joseph Pilates. Robin then completed and received her Master’s certification from the Pilates Center in 2016. She continues to seek ongoing education in Pilates and has recently enrolled in a series of functional anatomy courses designed for Pilates teachers. A career ski instructor with The Ski and Snowboard Schools of Aspen, Robin understands the importance of skeletal alignment and she has been able to incorporate Pilates ideas into her ski lessons. Additionally, Pilates helped her rehabilitate her own hip injury and surgery. She believes Pilates realigns, strengthens and brings health to the body. Robin considers herself lucky to be a part of Studio 360.
