She came in 13th at Worlds and ranked as a top steeplechaser in the US in 2006. She also qualified for 3 Olympic trials in the 1500 meter and steeplechase and was a member of 4 International US teams.

During her competitive years, she began a 700+ hour apprenticeship for certification in classical and athletic-based Pilates. She completed her apprenticeship in 2009 and became certified with the Pilates Method Alliance in 2012. She loves to help people become stronger athletes through Pilates!

Favorite Joseph Pilates-ism:

“Change happens through movement, and movement heals.”

I am passionate about teaching Pilates because…

I see and feel the healing it creates in myself and in others. It creates strength and fluidity in a malleable way that brings true healing and a feeling of overall well-being from the inside out. I love to see a client’s face light up when they stand after a session and feel “ In their body”. I love to help people heal.

Favorite Pilates Exercise is…

I love Russian Splits on the Reformer because it incorporates so many elements of balance and stability while elongating your muscles. And it’s pretty and feels empowering.

Outside of Studio 360, Pilates supports my…

Pilates movement is ESSENTIAL to my aerial acrobatics practice and teaching! It truly creates a fundamental foundation for aerial movements that I use with my students every day. I found Pilates when I was running professionally, and I know it saved me from many injuries. Working from a biomechanically sound and balanced body means I am less likely to get injured doing the things I live!

Pilates has transformed my life by…

Fulfilling my desire to work as a healer. To me, Pilates is not just a form of exercise, but a malleable form of healing from the inside out.

My Pilates spirit animal is…

A Pilates lemur with the strength of a Puma and the mind of the great griffin!
