Robin  Beck, a Colorado native, graduated with honors from The University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Kinesiology. She received a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University in Denver. In 2000, she became a Certified Pilates Instructor after completing her study at The Pilates Center of Boulder. In 2007, Robin was accepted into the Master’s Program at the Pilates Center which is considered to be the Harvard of Pilates education programs and received her Master’s certification in 2010.  In 2012, Robin received her Pilates Method Allianance (PMA) certification, acknowledging that her teachings follow suit with the guidelines and teachings set forth by this Pilates governing body.  Robin is currently enrolled in the Associates Program in Ortho-Bionomy (Society of Ortho-Bionomy International/SOBI). From her perspective as a Physical Therapist, Robin has recognized and embraced the teachings of Joseph Pilates as an efficient and effective means to provide rehabilitative as well as full body conditioning. The results enjoyed by her clients continue to be more than impressive. In addition to her professional role as a Physical Therapist and Pilates Instructor, Robin is also a Master Teacher for Peak Pilates® worldwide, including training Pilates instructors in Japan. Robin’s passion for Pilates and excellence in both teaching and practice is unparalleled and she is an inspiration to both students and teachers everywhere.

Margaret Hjerleid graduated with honors from Western State College University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 1991. In 2002, she became a Certified Pilates Instructor after completing her study with the PhysicalMind Institute. In 2007, Margaret was accepted into the Master’s Program at the Pilates Center which is considered to be the Harvard of Pilates education programs and received her Master’s certification in 2008, being of the first five practitioners to complete this rigorous program. In 2012 Margaret sat for and passed the Pilates Method Allianance (PMA) certification test, acknowledging that her teachings follow suit with the teachings and guidelines set forth by this Pilates governing body. Margaret received her certification in Foot Reflexology through Colorado Mountain College in 2005.  In 2012 Margaret enrolled in the Associates Program in Ortho-Bionomy (Society of Ortho-Bionomy International/SOBI) and finished her Associates training in the Spring of 2013.  She is currently enrolled in the Practitioner Training Program and will received her state’s licensing in Ortho in 2014. With the guidance of the PMA Margaret has introduced both pre-schoolers and Kindergarteners to the joys and benefits of Pilates. Margaret has recognized and embraced the teachings of Joseph Pilates as an efficient and effective means to provide rehabilitative as well as full body conditioning and enjoys the opportunity to combine both modalities of Pilates and Ortho-Bionomy, offering her clients two wonderful and proven forms of strengthening and healing.  The results enjoyed by her clients continue to be more than impressive. She is currently developing a children’s and youth program in both Pilates and Ortho-bionomy, making available effective and non -invasive work for the younger Roaring Fork Valley population.

Robin Scarlett, CPT

Robin graduated with a B.A. in Geography from the University of Colorado in 1981 as well as completed a two-year Kinesiology curriculum. She received her Pilates certification through The PhysicalMind Institute in 2004. The training encompassed a blend of traditional Pilates exercises with contemporary variations and emphasized Pilates fundamentals, the hallmark of the program. Robin has been teaching mat and equipment classes, as well as private lessons since 2004. She has supplemented her initial training with workshops at The Pilates Center in Boulder, as well as Pilates Aligned in Denver, both schools emphasizing the original work of Joseph Pilates. She also trains with Tom McCook, a level-3 Franklin Method trainer who specializes in functional anatomy. In addition to teaching Pilates, Robin is a long-standing ski instructor with the Ski and Snowboard schools of Aspen. From skiing, she understands the importance of skeletal alignment. Additionally, she has used Pilates to rehabilitate her own hip injury, and believes in the method as a way to realign, strengthen and bring health to the body.

Carrie Vickers, CPT

Carrie is a native to Colorado and attended the University of Colorado on a running scholarship.  Not only did she receive her BA in Biology, she was a 4x All American in Track and X-country, team captain, all academic  award winner for the big 12  in 2000, and a 2x recipient of CU track leadership award.

In 2002 she began running professionally. She was introduced to Pilates through running and found how increased core strength benefited her running. She attributes Pilates helping her become one of the top 15 steeplechasers in the world from 2004-2008, a former American record holder in the 2000 meter steeplechase, and a member of 2005 World Champions team. She came in 13th at Worlds, and ranked as a top steeplechaser in the US in 2006. She also qualified for 3 Olympic trials in the 1500 meter and steeplechase, and was a member of 4 International US teams.

During her competitive years, she began a 700+ hour apprenticeship for certification in classical and athletic-based Pilates. She completed her apprenticeship in 2009 and became certified with the Pilates Method Alliance in 2012. She has been teaching for 5 years with a hiatus to have her 3 beautiful children.  She loves to help people become stronger athletes through Pilates!

Misty Sundseth, CPT

PHILOSOPHY
Misty’s passion for pilates started back in high school while on a competitive cheerleading squad and later on a college dance team. Using pilates as a tool for fine-tuning her athletic performance was just the budding phase of her passion. Trained in the STOTT PILATES® method with a special interest in pre/post natal, rehab and special populations. Misty believes that pilates has transformed her personal yoga practice. Her sessions offer smart and challenging approach to the pilates method.
